    Description
In the 1960s, the Super-Squale model made its debut, swiftly rising to prominence within the Squale brand's lineup. The foresight behind its success dates back to 1959 when Charles Von Büren secured the trademark for "Super-Squale" alongside the renowned "Squale" brand, signifying its eventual status as an iconic dive watch. Crafted specifically for skin diving, the Super-Squale boasted a water resistance of 200 meters, housed within a 38-millimeter diameter case measuring a mere 45mm in width. Its lightweight design catered to effortless maneuverability underwater, whether worn with or without a wetsuit. Today's Super-Squale models pay homage to their heritage while embracing contemporary enhancements. Alongside faithful recreations of the originals, the collection introduces entirely new models, blending modern aesthetics with essential diving functionalities. In contrast to the plexiglass crystals prevalent in 1960s dive watches, today's Super-Squale timepieces feature double-domed sapphire crystals, ensuring optimal legibility without compromising the vintage charm.

    Behind the Super Squale

The Super Squale model was launched in the 60s, and immediately became one of the most popular watches of the Squale brand. Indeed it was not by chance that in 1959 charles Von Büren registered the “Super-Squale” trademark together with the “Squale” brand itself, symbolic of a watch destined to become iconic in the world of dive watches.

    Compact and lightweight

The Super Squale model was born to be a skin diver: with a water resistance of 200 meters, a 38-millimeter diameter case and a width of only 45mm, the Super Squale has been designed to be as lightweight as possible during dives, with or without a wetsuit.

The new Super Squale models are not only paying homage to the past: the versions faithful to the originals are flanked by totally new models that have a modern feel but maintain all the necessary features for diving.
